Dott.ssa Giovanna Russo

Dr. Giovanna Russo is an Italian pediatrician with a solid and well-rounded background, currently active in the fields of pediatric ultrasound and emergency care. Graduating with top honors in Medicine and Surgery from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, she went on to specialize in Pediatrics at the Sant’Andrea University Hospital, where she developed a thesis project in collaboration with the Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital, focusing on functional movement disorders in pediatric emergency settings.

Throughout her training, she gained advanced skills in ultrasound, particularly in neonatal applications, and earned a national certification in pediatric ultrasonography. Her clinical experience includes working in high-complexity hospital settings, combining specialized outpatient care with emergency department practice. She has taken part in major national clinical training and simulation events, further strengthening her teamwork and emergency response capabilities.

Her expertise spans several areas of pediatric medicine, including allergology, neonatology, and respiratory diagnostics. Her technical skills include performing and interpreting allergy tests, pediatric spirometry, and ECGs, in addition to basic clinical and surgical procedures. Alongside her clinical practice, she is also actively involved in pediatric research.
